Yes. Cancellation is one click - from your account settings or the link in the day-12 reminder email - and takes effect immediately. If you cancel during the 14-day trial there is no charge at all. If you cancel after the trial, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, then your dynamic QRs enter a 30-day read-only grace window. We never add cancellation surveys, hidden links, or phone-only cancellation.

On day 14 your card is charged automatically for the first month - $12 CAD for Pro or $29 CAD for Business, plus the sales tax for your province. We email a mandatory reminder on day 12 ("your trial ends in 2 days, you'll be charged $X on [date]") with a one-click cancel link, and a receipt once the charge goes through. Static QR generation is always free and is never affected by any of this.

A static QR code encodes the destination directly into the pattern. The scan goes straight from the phone to the destination - our servers are never involved, nothing can be tracked, and it works forever. Static codes are free, no account needed. A dynamic QR code encodes a short link that redirects through our server, so you can edit the destination later and see scan analytics. Dynamic QRs are the paid feature; static QRs are not, and we never convert one into the other.

No. The free tier needs no account, no email, and no card - ever. You open the generator, build your static QR code, and download it. A card is only required to start a Pro or Business trial, because the trial runs through Stripe Checkout with the card on file so billing can begin on day 14 if you don't cancel.

Yes. You can upgrade from Pro to Business or downgrade at any time from your account settings. Stripe prorates the change automatically, so you only pay the difference for the current period. Switching plans never deletes the QR codes or analytics you've already created.

The 14-day free trial is how you evaluate a paid plan before paying anything - cancel before day 14 and you are never charged. We don't run lifetime deals or prepaid credits. If you were charged in error or have a billing problem, email support and we'll make it right; we follow Canadian consumer-protection rules on automatic renewals.

Static QR generation runs entirely in your browser - the content you type is never sent to our servers, which you can verify by generating a code with the internet disconnected. For dynamic QRs we log scan metadata (hashed IP, approximate location, device type) but never the QR's content. We operate under PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, and our privacy policy spells out exactly what is and isn't collected.

Yes. Pro is $120 CAD per year and Business is $290 CAD per year, each about 16% cheaper than paying monthly ($144 and $348 respectively at the monthly rate). The annual plan includes the same 14-day free trial and the same one-click cancellation. Prices are in Canadian dollars; Stripe Tax adds GST/HST/PST/QST based on your province.

Yes. Every charge generates a Stripe receipt and invoice you can download from your billing portal, with GST/HST/PST/QST itemised by province via Stripe Tax. Business customers can also request a SOC2-style data export. We don't offer custom contracts or net-30 invoicing in v1 - billing is card-based through Stripe.

Every scan of any of your dynamic QR codes counts toward the monthly total of 10,000 across all of them. Going over the cap does not break your codes - they keep redirecting - it just triggers an email suggesting Business. Only after three consecutive months over the cap do we ask you to upgrade. Static QR scans are never counted because they never touch our servers.
